A TRILOGY OF DECEPTION
On Two Previous Occasions, The author directly informed the aviation authorities of lethal safety deficiencies that, if not fully addressed, would ultimately have tragic consequences. On both occasions, he was ignored. As a result, two separate fatal air crashes ensued.
Pulling Wings From Butterflies is the true story of the authors attempt to prevent a third disaster. He stood alone against the might of a multibillion-dollar airline and aviation industry when he refused to compromise his passengers and crews safety in the pursuit of corporate greed.
Falsified Legal Documents, withheld and destroyed evidence, a regulator (CAA) unwilling to regulate, and a union (BALPA) unwilling to support fatigued pilots are all exposed within the three book series. With exclusive access, it is also revealed how Donald Trump’s nominee to head the US FAA was directly involved in a case where an airline pilot was deemed mentally unstable when they raised safety issues.
Nothing, It Appears, will stand in the way of profit, with managers even willing to descend to antisemitism in order to pander to one cultural group over another when cabin crew were informed “Pepsi will be loaded on this route, not Coca- Cola as this is made by a Jewish owned company.”
Tercio De Varas follows a journey from rock drummer, appearing with some of the biggest names in the music industry, to becoming a commander on one of the world’s most advanced passenger aircraft.. It concludes when the veil is pulled back to expose the dark underbelly of the aviation industry, directly challenging the establishment mantra that, “Safety Is Our Number One Priority”.

Tercio De Banderillas. When the union (BALPA) and the CAA refused to investigate claims of criminal activity, what’re a pilots options? Does he take on, single handily the legal might of a multibillion-dollar airlines legal team? News spreads that a pilot has been threatened with dismissal for refusing to fly when fatigued. Pilots are now too afraid to refuse a duty, resulting in several appalling incidents including two out of the three pilots asleep at 4000 ft on final approach into Manchester.

Tercio De Muerte Crews admit that they are knowingly flying duties in the full expectation they will suffer fatigue. The CAA is provided with irrefutable proof that duty times are knowingly falsified to make it appear they conformed with strictly laid down maximum times and that pilots are flying at the equivalent effectiveness of a drunk driver. Their response? ‘Get over it.’ BALPA the union suppress a report where the depths of the criminal activities are finally exposed.

INTRODUCTION
Everyone makes ‘mistakes’, that is an accepted fact of life. However, when a organisation creates a culture where an individual is not obliged to be accountable or to take responsibility for their action or inaction and is free to act with impunity, then you have created an environment that is likely to attract further individuals who share those character traits. That organisation then becomes further prone to incompetence, corruption, and a propensity to act, irrespective of the constraints of legal, moral, or accepted practice due to the corrupt belief by individuals that those traits will be rewarded financially or via career advancement. The moment this becomes the prevalent culture then this organisation is ultimately condemned to fail. If involved in the implementation and/or adherence of safety systems then this failure will ultimately be catastrophic.
